"ด็อกเตอร์โม" และ "เจ้าพล" กับเส้นทางที่ไม่ได้โรยด้วยกลีบกุหลาบ

คอลัมน์ Motorsport Lives Special ประจำสัปดาห์นี้ เรายินดีนำเสนอเป็นพิเศษ... ที่ผ่านมาวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตในบ้านเราจะโฟกัสไปที่ทีมใหญ่ๆ นักขับดังๆ ส่วนความเคลื่อนไหวของทีมเล็กๆ ก็จะถูกมองข้ามไป และจะถูกมองเป็นไม้ประดับในแทร็กเท่านั้น ทว่าแท้จริงแล้ว บรรดาทีมเล็กเหล่านี้แหละครับ... ที่ถือเป็นแรงผลักดันให้วงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตขับเคลื่อนให้เติบโตและขยายกลุ่ม ผู้มีความรักในกีฬาความเร้วให้เพิ่มมากขึ้น

Motorsport Lives มีโอกาสได้พูดคุยกับ พลกฤต ทองสมุทร หรือที่รู้จักกันอย่างกว้างขวางในวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตบ้านเราว่า “Dr.Mo” หรือ “ด็อกเตอร์โม” เจ้าของทีม “DoctorMo PTK” ชายหนุ่มผู้นี้ถือเป็นอีกคนที่มีความมุ่งมั่นในการทำทีมอย่างสูงแม้จะมีทั้ง ความสำเร็จและล้มเหลวแต่ เขาก็ยังคงเดินหน้าสานต่อความฝันในกีฬามอเตอร์สปอร์ต

โดยในปี 2010 “ด็อกเตอร์โม” ส่งทีมเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน ฮอนด้า เรซซิ่ง เฟส ในรุ่น ฮอนด้า โปรคัพ คลาสซี ด้วยรถแข่ง ฮอนด้า ซีวิค อีเค9 โดยได้ทำการคัดเลือกตัวนักขับหลายคนให้เข้ามาทดสอบกับทีม จนท้ายที่สุดเมื่อผ่านเกมสนามแรกของปี 2010 ที่แก่งกระจานเซอร์กิต “ด็อกเตอร์โม” ได้ตัดสินใจเลือก “เจ้าพล” อรรถพล ไชยสง ซึ่งเป็นผลิตผลจากโครงการ ยูนิเวอร์ซิตี้ ไดรเวอร์ เสิร์จ 2007 ของ ฮอนด้า เรซซิ่ง เฟส โดย “เจ้าพล” นั้นสามารถทำผลงานได้ดีในหลายรายการจนได้รับการจับตามองว่าเป็นนักขับอีกคนหนึ่งที่สามารถพัฒนาขึ้นมาเป็นหัวแถวในเมืองไทยได้

การเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งใหญ่ของทีมเกิดขึ้นภายใต้ความคาดหวังของ “ด็อกเตอร์โม” เจ้าของทีม โดยเขากล่าวถึง “เจ้าพล” ว่า “เขาเป็นนักขับที่มีความมุ่งมั่นมาก มีความกระตือรือร้นสูง เลยทำให้เราสนุกกับการผลักดัน และแน่นอนในรถของเรา เขาสามารถทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม ทำให้เรามองเห็นอนาคตของทีมว่าสามารถเติบโตได้”

ด้าน “เจ้าพล” ที่เพิ่งได้ชิมลางกับรถคันใหม่และลงแข่ง 2 สนามซ้อนเมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา เปิดเผยว่า “ผมยินดีมากที่ “พี่โม” (ด็อกเตอร์โม) ให้โอกาสเข้ามาทดสอบกับทีม และได้ร่วมทีมในที่สุด เราต้องทำงานภายใต้ความกดดัน เพราะในช่วงต้นปีเราจดทะเบียนลงสมัครในคลาสซี รถที่ใช้เป็นเครื่องยนต์ 1,600 ซี.ซี. แต่พอมาถึงช่วงครึ่งปี กลับโดนปรับให้เป็นคลาสบี ซึ่งมีโอกาสน้อยมากที่จะขยับขึ้นไปสู้กับรถในคลาสบี ซึ่งมีทุนค่อนข้างสูง และรถของเราก็มีเครื่องยนต์ต่ำกว่าด้วย แต่ก็ต้องทำผลงานให้ดีที่สุด แม้จะเป็นงานยากก็ตาม”

อย่างไรก็ดี อนาคต ของทีม “DoctorMo PTK” น่าจะขึ้นอยู่กับการทำงานของทีมเซอร์วิส และ ทีมบอสอย่าง
“ด็อกเตอร์โม” โดยมี “เจ้าพล” เป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนรถแข่ง  ทั้งนี้ “ด็อกเตอร์โม” กล่าวถึงทีมว่า “เรามีการจัดการที่ดี ผมต้องการสร้างมาตรฐานที่ดีให้กับทีม และที่ขาดไม่ได้คือผู้สนับสนุน เราจำเป็นต้องทำผลงานให้ดีที่สุดเพื่อให้บรรดาสปอนเซอร์เห็นถึงความคุ้มค่า ที่ยื่นมือเข้ามาหนุนหลังเรา และเราต้องตอบสนองความพึงพอใจต่อเจ้าของเงินทุนในการให้การสนับสนุน  และทางเราก็ได้จัดการโชว์ประสิทธิภาพของผลิตภัณท์ที่มาสนับสนุน รวมถึงการจัดกิจกรรมที่จะแสดงศักยภาพของสินค้าที่มีเทคโนโลยีที่จัดว่าเป็นระดับชั้นแนวหน้าในด้านอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ โดยได้จับมือกับบริษัท ด้านพีอาร์และการตลาด P’nox network ซึ่งก็จะได้ผ่านตากันไปบ้างแล้ว เช่น ในงานมอเตอร์โชว์ ครั้งที่ 30 และครั้งที่ 31 ที่ผ่านมา และจะจัดกิจกรรมประชาสัมพันธ์ต่างๆ อีกมากมายในระยะยาวต่อไปในอนาคตและกับผู้ให้การสนับสนุนในส่วนของเครื่องมือปัจจัยหลักในการใช้แข่งขัน”

นอกจากนี้ “ด็อกเตอร์โม” ได้ให้ความเห็นว่า “การนำเสนอตัวรถถือเป็นอีกเรื่องที่สำคัญเป็นอันดับต้นๆ ของการทำทีมแข่งรถ เราพยายามออกแบบรถให้สวยและลงตัวกับสปอนเซอร์มากที่สุด นอกจากนี้ผมยังติดสติกเกอร์ผู้สนับสนุนไว้ในคอนโซลในรถแข่ง และถ่ายวีดีโอเผยแพร่ เพื่อให้ชื่อผลิตภัณฑ์มีโอกาสแพร่สู่สายตามวลชนมากขึ้น ”

“ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้น เราก็ต้องเน้นทำผลงานให้ติดกลุ่มหัวแถวให้ได้ แต่การถูกปรับคลาสในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปี 2010 ก็สร้างความยากลำบากให้เราไม่น้อย เพราะถ้าวิ่งในคลาสซี “เจ้าพล” จะเป็นแชมป์ ทว่าพอขึ้นไปแข่งกับคลาสบี ที่มีทั้ง ตรัยธนิษฐ์ ฉิมตะวัน, โทมัส ราลดอร์ฟ, โทนี เพอร์ซี รวมถึง ภาสฤทธิ์ พรหมสมบัติ ที่คลาสสูงกว่าโอกาสที่จะได้ขึ้นโพเดียมเลยลดน้อยลงไปด้วย”

แม้จะยังคงมีความกังวลกับการแข่งขันในฤดูกาลนี้ แต่ “ด็อกเตอร์โม” ก็ไม่ทิ้งแผนสำหรับปีหน้า โดยตั้งเป้าที่จะเปลี่ยนรถคันใหม่ ทำสีรถใหม่ และปรับปรุงเครื่องยนต์และช่วงล่างให้สู้กับทีมอื่นๆ ให้ได้ โดยเขามองว่า “ในปีหน้าเรามีโอกาสขยับขึ้นไปมีลุ้นในคลาสบีมากขึ้น แต่งานก็ต้องหนักขึ้นเช่นกัน เพราะทีมอื่นๆ ต่างก็ต้องพัฒนาขึ้นจากฤดูกาลเก่า ผมเชื่อว่า “เจ้าพล” มีดีพอที่จะสู้กับกลุ่มหน้าได้อย่างแน่นอน ส่วนอนาคตในระยะยาว ตั้งใจจะทำรถให้เป็นเครื่องยนต์ 2000 ซี.ซี. ในคลาสเอ คงต้องติดตามกันต่อไปครับ”

ก่อนจะจากกัน “ด็อกเตอร์โม” กล่าวถึงปรัชญาในการทำทีมว่า “ไม่ว่าอย่างไรก็ตาม ทั้งรถและคนต้องผสานกันให้ลงตัว ผมมองว่ารถมีผล 55% ส่วนนักขับมีส่วน 45% ซึ่งทั้ง 2 อย่างจะต้องคลิกกันให้เร็วที่สุด”

สำหรับผลงานล่าสุดของ “เจ้าพล” ภายใต้สังกัดทีม “DoctorMo PTK” ในศึก ฮอนด้า เรซซิ่ง เฟส สนาม 2 สามารถทำผลงานได้เป็นที่น่าพอใจ โดยในเรซแรกควบรถแข่งเข้าป้ายเป็นอันดับ 7 โอเวอร์ออล (อันดับ 5 ในคลาสบี) ส่วนเรซ2 จบด้วยอันดับ 8 โอเวอร์ออล แต่ก็ยังคงรั้งอันดับ 5 ในคลาสบี

ก่อนจะขยับอันดับได้ในเรซแรกของสนาม 3 โดยจบอันดับ 6 โอเวอร์ออล (อันดับ 5 คลาสบี) และ ซิวอันดับ 7 โอเวอร์ออลในเรซ 2 (อันดับ 4 คลาสบี) ซึ่งถือเป็นผลงานที่น่าพอใจทีเดียวสำหรับการต่อกรกับกลุ่มหัวแถวอย่าง ปิติ ภิมรมย์ภักดี และ ตรัยธนิษฐ์ ฉิมตะวัน จาก สิงห์ เรซซิ่ง สคูล โทมัส ราลดอร์ฟ และ โทนี เพอร์ซี จาก เดอะพิซซ่า คอมปะนี รวมถึงนักขับจอมเก๋าอย่าง เอกประวัติ เพ็ชรรักษ์ และ สัญชัย เองตระกูล นอกจากนี้ยังมีนักขับฟอร์มแรงอย่าง ภาสฤทธิ์ พรหมสมบัติ อีกด้วย

คงต้องติดตามกันต่อไปสำหรับการร่วมงานระหว่าง “DoctorMo PTK” ที่มี “ด็อกเตอร์โม” พลกฤต ทองสมุทร เป็นทีมบอส และ “เจ้าพล” อรรถพล ไชยสง เป็นนักขับ ว่าจะทำผลงานได้โดดเด่นเพียงใดกับ 2 สนามที่เหลือในศึก ฮอนด้า เรซซิ่ง เฟส 2010

Motorsport Lives Special weekly column offers a special scoop of the racing sports. In the past we tended to focus only on major drivers and teams while the movements of a small team were always overlooked. In fact those small teams, however, are the major driving force for motorsport industry to grow and reach out to the audiences who love the motorsports.

Motorsport Lives have an opportunity to speak with Thongsamut Pol Krishanachinda or widely known as "Dr. Mo", the team owner "Doctor Mo PTK". He is quite ambitious to forming a team despite facing with the success and failure. But He continues to maintain his dream about the motorsport.

In 2010 "Dr. Mo" sent his team to compete in the Honda Racing festival 2010 in version of the Honda Pro Cup Class C with Racing Honda Civic EK 9. He recruited many drivers by inviting them to drive-test with the team. Finally at the field through the first game of the year 2010 at Kaeng Krachan National Circuit, "Dr. Mo" decided to select "PON" Atthapol ChaiSong, the champion of project young university drivers in 2007 Honda Racing Fest'. "PON" was able to work well in many battles and always be a good driver.

Major changes have occurred under the team's expectations. Dr. Mo said that PON is a driver that is determined and highly enthusiastic. Of course, He always does the jobs splendidly. Hence we can see the bright future of our team.”

PON is just a rookie of the new car and two battle fields, in which the first race occurred last week. He said that he was very pleased with the opportunity granted to him by Dr. Mo to test with the team. The team has to work under pressure since early this year we registered for the class C application with 1600 cc engine. However at the half year, we were moved up to class B. We will have less chance to fight with teams in class B, which have very high capital and good engine. However, we will try our best.

The future of  Dr. Mo Team ,however ,might be depend on the team service ’s work and team leader  as Dr.mo as well as the main driver  Dr.mo mentioned about his team that “Good management is required. I want to set a good standard for my team. Sponsors are critical for our back up. Hence, we need to make the best works, created satisfaction in order to respond to our sponsors’s expectation as well as make their investment worthwhile. We have already set up showcase for the efficiency of our sponsor’s products including activities to express the top class technology in automobile industry. We joined with P’nox network, the PR and marketing company, in important events as the past 30th and 31st Bangkok Motorshow. We aim to organize PR event in the long run with our sponsors.”

Dr. Mo views that the car itself is one of the main factor for competition. We try to design it as best as we can such as for sticker for our sponsor. We place the sticker in place the public and media can easily see such as console and VDO broadcasting. We must be in the top-notch class. However, the upgrade at the second half at 2010 was our main difficulty. In class C, Pon might be champion No one Battle ,However , he might have  less chance in class B in which many excellent drivers are ,for examples, Trai-thanit, Thomas Randof, Tony Percy included Pratsarit Promsombat "  Therefore , he might get less chance to be competed.
With reference to the competition this season, Dr. Mo" did not leave a chance to plan for next year aiming to re-paint a car and engine and suspension against the other team. He viewed that "In the next year, we have more chance to move up the win in Class B. But I have to work harder, too. Because the other team. I have developed from different seasons. I believe "PON" is good enough to fight the battle in the long term. For the long run, we intend to upgrade machine to 2000 cc with class A.”

In conclusion, Dr. Mo mentioned the philosophy team that "I think that both car and driver must be the perfect combination. I think that car contributes 55% and driver contributes 45% to the success."

For recent works, "PON" under the team under the" Doctor Mo PTK "in combat Honda Racing round 2 can be satisfactory. In first race, Ranking 7th ,All Over (4th in Class B) The final with 8th All Over but still ranking 5th in the B class.

Before moving rank in round 3 finished 6th OverAll (5th Class B) and 7th Overall in Race 2 (4th Class B), which is the work satisfactorily. The Super battle with a hard group ,Piti Phirompakdee and Trainit Chimtawan from Singha Racing School ,Thomas raldof and Tony Percy from The Pizza Company as well as like Patsarit promsombat are also strong drivers.

Continue to monitor known and for working during "DoctorMo PTK" with "Dr. Mo"  as a team boss and "PON" as Atthapol Chaisong sent will work in battle. To be continued.
